Join with Burnley FC in the Community as the historic outdoor centre, Whitehough, celebrates its 80th birthday!
Today, BFCitC begin their 80 years of Whitehough celebrations, with a focus on the history and heritage of the centre. As no-one can currently visit Whitehough during this difficult time, we have dug deep into the archives to start the celebrations off and we have found some group photos and diary entries.
We are encouraging supporters to come forward and share any memories or photos they may have from visiting or working at the site. Which year did you visit? Who did you visit with? What activities did you take part in? Let us know!
The site, situated in the Pendle Countryside, is home to a number of adrenaline-fuelled activities and has something to accommodate everyone with visitors including educational, corporate, community and tourists groups.
The educational facility first opened its doors in 1938 as a camp school and since then it has developed and seen thousands of children and groups come through its doors for an experience they’ll never forget.
BFCitC assumed operations of the site in 2017 after a two-year closure and now we want you to get involved and tell us your memories of this prestigious site!
