Our spacious, well-maintained camping area is perfect for schools, youth groups, and outdoor enthusiasts looking to immerse themselves in nature. With room to sleep up to 180, we can accommodate all; from families looking for a weekend break, to large residentials, offering a safe and scenic base for stargazing, campfires, and outdoor adventures. Surrounded by woodland and wildlife, it’s a true back-to-nature experience with the freedom to explore and connect.

Dormitories

Our dormitories offer a warm, secure, and functional space for up to 64 guests. Designed with group stays in mind, each room accommodates up to three people and features convenient sink and storage facilities. Nearby washrooms and inviting communal areas provide space to unwind, connect, or plan the day’s adventures.
Perfect for school trips, youth residentials, and activity weeks, our dorms foster a sociable and structured environment that encourages rest, routine, and meaningful group bonding.

The hut

The Hut is a cosy, self-contained space ideal for small groups or leaders seeking a quiet retreat. Sleeping up to five, it offers basic facilities with rustic charm, providing warmth, privacy, and easy access to all outdoor activities. Whether used as a leader base or a peaceful hideaway, The Hut blends simplicity with comfort, perfect for those who want a more personal outdoor stay.

The lodge

The Lodge offers modern, self-contained accommodation for up to 12 guests, making it ideal for small group getaways, workshops, or leadership retreats. With flexible indoor spaces, kitchen facilities, and a relaxed, homely atmosphere, it’s perfect for team-building weekends or creative sessions. Enjoy the comfort of indoor living while staying connected to the natural surroundings of Whitehough Outdoor Centre.

We visited last summer term and can honestly say that we had a fantastic time! From the variety of activities, to the skillful, kind, caring and energetic staff who coordinated the activities, it was just wonderful. The grounds are beautiful and set in the most incredible setting. A well-equipped equipment Centre and games room kept us all secure and active.
